Hi
Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we're still alive.
"None of you should wish for death because of a calamity that has afflicted him. If he must do so, then let him say: 'O Allah, keep me alive as long as life is good for me, and cause me to die if death be better for me.'"
— Sahih Bukhari (5671) and Sahih Muslim (2680)
Life is fleeting, but what truly matters is not the number of years we live-it's the vitality of our spirit, the passion of our heart, and the purpose of our soul. Many people go through life numb, complacent, or trapped in fear, pain, and regret, They stop dreaming, stop loving, stop creating, or stop believing in themselves long before their physical life ends.
The death of hope, courage, curiosity, and joy is far more tragic than the end of the body. When we let our inner light fade, we become shadows of what we could have been. We are alive, but only in name.
True living requires nurturing the spirit, pursuing dreams, and facing fears. It means refusing to let bitterness, doubt, or despair take what can never be restored
So ask vourself - what parts of your soul are you letting die while still alive, and how will you revive them today?
"O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life..."
— Quran 8:24
You were never asking for too much. You were just asking the wrong people. 💭
