Be careful with the heart that loves you genuinely. Some people don't find that kind of love twice. Once they walk away, they may never look back the same way.

In order to feel good, you must be convinced of your reality.

It feels like everyone is moving forward in life while I’m still stuck in the same place. Alhamdulillah for everything, always, and I know everyone has their own timing, but it still hurts sometimes. It’s sad watching everyone grow, build their own lives, get married, and start their own families while I feel like I’m standing still. And sometimes, I can’t help but wonder, what’s wrong with me? Why does it seem so easy for everyone else? Why can’t I experience that kind of happiness too? I’m genuinely happy for others, but sometimes it hurts seeing everyone live the life you’ve been quietly praying for. And I hate that I even have to question my worth just because my life hasn’t turned out the way I hoped it would by now…

You never know what someone is carrying behind a normal smile.
Be the reason today feels a little lighter for someone.
Assalam Alaikum, I am 26F, turning 27 at the end of this month. I am 5’7 and slim, I’ve got my own place, and I have 2 cats. I am also doing super well in my career and live a comfortable life Alhamdulillah.
I know it’s time to start looking for a partner, and I have been. I’ve come across quite a few good men, but for some reason, I just feel like no one will ever truly love me. So I don’t take things seriously and start to go super quiet on the guy until he completely gives up and stops reaching out.
The reason why I think I can’t be truly loved is because I have alopecia and I wear hair systems. People have told me they never knew I was wearing anything until I told them, but I think this is what keeps me very emotionally unavailable. Somewhere, somehow, I decided that this condition means no one will ever find me beautiful, even though I’ve been told I am attractive. I feel like no one will truly love me, or they might judge me for it.
I get a good number of likes on this app and Salams every day, but I don’t even bother reaching out to anyone, even if I like their profile. I count myself out before I even give myself a chance. Guys who see me at weddings reach out to me later, but then my brain goes, “Well, that’s because they don’t know yet. Once they know, they won’t be interested.”
I have gotten to a point where I have convinced myself that maybe I shouldn’t marry at all, even though I do feel lonely once in a blue moon. Otherwise, I live a very fulfilling life, Alhamdulillah. Allah has blessed me with everything I could ever want, except for this one thing that I can do nothing about.
Alopecia started when I was 16, so it has been 10 years, and I have learned to live a normal life with it. But it’s just this marriage thing that has become a struggle for me mentally.
I have been told to go to the mosque to attend their matrimonial events, but this hair thing always makes me feel like there is no use in doing anything.
Does anyone who has been through a similar feeling think I would benefit from getting a therapist?
I don’t expect to get much out of this post. I would love to hear your thoughts on this situation of mine but mainly, I guess I just wanted to share and get this off my chest.

You don’t have to become cold just because some people don’t know how to be kind. Keep your soft heart, just learn where to place it.

How can i help 👇
Almost a year ago a male family friend took his own life as he was struggling with his mental health.
Currently I can see the signs of another brother struggling with the expectations put upon men to be providers and taking on all the family burden alone. I can see through that male bravado front. As a result they are pushing people away.
I dont know who made these rules that men have to be strong all the time. We are all human with feelings that need to be expressed and off loaded.
How can we help people, especially men in this situation.
Im too much of an empath to turn my back knowing someone's suffering alone and in silence. I can hear the pain and struggle, just dont know what to do 😢

So, if one day you feel tired, left behind, or begin to doubt yourself, remember that you have already survived so many things you once thought you couldn't handle. Don't be too hard on yourself just because your life hasn't turned out the way you imagined. You are human, too. You are allowed to feel tired, to cry, and to take a break without feeling like you've lost🤍
