Young man, listen carefully.

There is a season in a man's life when he must stop chasing applause, attention, women, and comfort—and start building.

Study the lion.

Before the pride, there is territory.
Before the territory, there is struggle.
Before the struggle, there is hunger.
And hunger creates a hunter.

A man who has not mastered himself has no business trying to lead a household.

Build your body.
Build your mind.
Build your faith.
Build your skills.
Build your business.
Build your name.
Build your home.
Build your territory.

Because one day, your children will need somewhere to stand.

Your wife will need somewhere to find peace.

And when they look at you, they should not see a man who merely talks about leadership.

They should see evidence.

Evidence of discipline.
Evidence of sacrifice.
Evidence of patience.
Evidence of provision.
Evidence of character.

Don't spend your strongest years trying to impress people who will forget your name tomorrow.

Build something that will remember you.

Don't rush to gather a pride while you have not secured the ground beneath your own feet.

A crown without a kingdom is decoration.

A title without responsibility is noise.

And strength without discipline is simply danger.

Real masculinity is not how many women you can attract.

It is how much responsibility you can carry without breaking.

It is being able to walk through hardship without abandoning your principles.

It is having power—and possessing the discipline not to misuse it.

It is having wealth—and remembering Who gave it to you.

It is having authority—and remembering that one day Allah will ask you what you did with it.

So build, young man.

Build when nobody is watching.

Pray when nobody is applauding.

Work when nobody believes in you.

Save when everybody is spending.

Learn when everybody is distracted.

And endure when everybody else is looking for an escape.

Your first conquest is yourself.

Master that—and perhaps Allah will entrust you with greater things.

The goal is not to become a king.

The goal is to become a man worthy of responsibility before Allah.

And when your children finally ask what their father built...

Let the answer be more than a story.

Let them stand inside it.
