A reminder of reality
You can't take it with you, you collect more than
your hands and your souls can hold!
We arrive with nothing, we leave with nothing.
yet chase everything along the way, and yet
I imagine for some, the penny finally drops,
when they arrive at their final day.
After the jig is up, then will they finally understand, the very little importance
of things collected with our hands.
Because society has convinced us, that the
meaning of success, comes from having more,
whilst we're out here living less.
More hours in the office, less time spent at home, yes, success is somehow measured, from the possessions that we own.
Money in the bank, the definition of a life of luxury, but perhaps the most successful, are the souls who are out here living free.
