I had one of the most important meetings I’ve had in a long time.

We met over a business lunch at Gaucho near Liverpool Street. I was the client so I love client entertainment especially when I’m the client!! We ordered Wagyu beef empanadas, burrata, chimichurri ribeye, fillet, grilled king prawns, green vegetables, sautéed spinach and garlic mushrooms… strictly no carbs. 😭😂 We somehow still found room for dessert.

The only hiccup… my steak arrived rare instead of medium-well. By the time it came back, everyone else’s food had gone cold, so the whole table was remade from scratch. Worth the wait.

Then the conversation drifted away from business and onto weekend plans. I mentioned I’d planned a spa and wellness day to slow life down for a day and have some uninterrupted conversations.

Completely by chance, it turned out his family owns a spa hotel.His response? “You’re my guest. Come and enjoy the facilities.” One of those unexpected acts of kindness you don’t see coming. Sometimes life has a funny way of opening doors when you least expect it.
