When 2 + 2 Becomes 5

They think they know you…

From a profile picture.
A username.
A handful of comments
Floating across a screen.

They think they know your story…

Without knowing
Where your footsteps have been.
The roads you’ve travelled.
The valleys you’ve crossed.
The battles you’ve fought.
The things you’ve buried.
The things you’ve lost.

They’ve never counted
The tears you cried
When nobody was watching.

Never heard
The silent du’as
You whispered
When your heart was breaking.

Never carried
The weight of the lies
That were spoken about you.
The words that cut deeper
Than anyone ever knew.

Yet somehow…

They’re confident enough
To write your biography
After reading a single page.

One brushstroke…
Then another…
Until a portrait emerges
Painted with assumption,
Coloured by speculation,
Framed by confirmation bias.

They zoom in
On the cracks in the glass…

But never stop
To admire the hands
That kept holding
The shattered pieces together.

They see the scars…

But not the healing.

They see the fragments…

But never the glue.

They notice the moments
You stumbled…

Yet overlook
Every time Allah
Picked you back up
And carried you through.

It’s remarkable really…

How quickly
Two and two
Can become five.

Not because
People are bad at mathematics…

But because
Some have mastered
The art of subtraction.

Subtract context.
Subtract mercy.
Subtract evidence.
Subtract sincerity.

Then add assumption.

And suddenly…

The equation
Was never about numbers.

It was about narratives.

Because when people
Already believe
They know who you are…

Facts become optional.

And assumptions
Become absolute.

So let them calculate
Whatever equation they wish.

Because on the Day
Every sum will be corrected.

Every hidden chapter
Will be revealed.

Every false conclusion
Will be exposed.

And every soul…

Will stand before
The One

_Who has never…

Not even once…

Mistaken

Two and two

For five._

What if we may not live

We if we get failed

What if we have no one around

What if we loose everyone

Life is not rigid constant

It changes melts vanishes and reappear

So are the connections people and us

We can't find our own self at times

And our loved ones sometimes

They may leave us in the midst of a storm

Or we don't want them see us in tears

We create hard walls around us

Wish we have someone who could see the real us

Who could see our heart

Have the courage to see the actual us

The least regret.

We have romanticized the untravelled path into a flawless paradise, forgetting that every life, no matter how golden from a distance, comes with its own heavy tax of mundane miseries, suffocating lonely saturdays, and heavy sacrifices.

If you are tired and stressed by your kids, you don't imagine the child free version of yourself doing taxes, eat dinner for one, on yet another Tuesday night,
You imagine yourself sipping espresso in Paris, completely unbothered.

This is a cognitive bias. This untravelled pathway seems to always be clean, sunny, and devoid of traffic. By realizing that every path has its own unique set of miseries and mundane moments, the illusion shatters.

There is no magical door that opens into a room of pure joy without a cost.
If you marry, you will mourn your solitude, if you stay single, you will ache for companionship.

If you build a family, the children a non refundable.
You will look back at your freedom with a sigh,
if you have no children, you will look at the legacy of others with a hollow chest.

It's why we don't lock in on choice anymore.. the fear of tasting regret that's never happened.
But regret is an inevitable byproduct of human freedom.
That's why many sit on the fence.

The tragedy of the human condition is not that we make the wrong choices, but that we believe a choice exists where we get to keep everything.

One thing to be mindful of is who listens to your regrets, whose watching you, the families and friends, strangers online, who enjoy your demise..
That's where the most fear of regret lies.

What other people think.

The illusion of the perfect life is a ghost that haunts the actual life you are supposed to be living. Freedom does not mean avoiding the pain of loss, it means choosing which is the least regret you're going to live with.

Peace belongs to those who stop agonising over the lives they didn't choose, and finally begin the brave, messy work of loving the one they did.

And that's how you can win..
By discussing and merging regret with another.

The good thing about carrying someone else's burden, You are rewarded with being appreciated
Compared to carrying just your own.

Drifting Wolf.

"Until Tomorrow Finds Us"

If today is not the day our paths intertwine,
then may tomorrow gently lead you back to me.

If your heart still sees me as a stranger,
may tomorrow teach it the comfort of my name.

If your soul is still searching for reasons to stay,
may tomorrow whisper every answer you've been longing to hear.

So don't stop believing in tomorrow, my love.

For tomorrow is a promise no one can predict,
it may carry the moment our eyes finally understand each other,
our hands find their way home,
and our hearts discover that they were never meant to beat apart.

Until that day arrives,

"I'll keep a place for you in every tomorrow."
