I’m from East Kalimantan, one of the areas affected by this. I’m praying for a speedy recovery. It saddens me to think that future generations might not get to see the rare endemic species found in Kalimantan. The forest and land fires have been raging ceaselessly for nearly four months now. Let’s pray for heavy rain every day so the sky turns blue again and we can get back to our daily lives. My heart goes out to the children and the elderly who have to breathe in this thick haze.
