For decades, Palestinians have lived under a system that strips away their land, rights, and security, creating a reality defined by profound loss and survival.

The Theft of LandThe Shrinking Map: Decades of settlement expansion and military orders have fragmented Palestinian territory. The Nakba's Echo:

Generations have faced forced displacement, transforming millions into permanent refugees. The Fragmented West Bank: Checkpoints, walls, and restricted roads cut off families from their farms and schools.

Systemic Abuse and SiegeThe Gaza Blockade: A sealing of borders restricted water, electricity, medicine, and hope for two million people.Military Law:

Palestinians face military tribunals and indefinite detention without trial, while nearby settlers follow civil law.Daily Trauma: Constant military raids, home demolitions, and airstrikes mean children grow up under the shadow of violence.

The Mechanics of ScapegoatingDehumanising Labels: Legitimate demands for freedom and human rights are frequently weaponised or dismissed entirely as security threats.Collective Punishment: Entire towns and families routinely suffer punitive blockades or demolitions for the actions of individuals.

Media Erasure: Global narratives often invert the power dynamic, framing a stateless population living under occupation as the primary aggressors.

Despite this crushing pressure, the enduring Palestinian response remains Sumud—a steadfast refusal to disappear, maintaining dignity and identity against impossible odds.

I love my niece so much and I think she's clever ma Sha Allah. She's only 22m. She just learned word "واحد" (wāḥid) and then started saying "واحدة" (wāḥida) and even experimenting with other similar forms, wahidooوحدوا, wahidy وحدى she's not just memorizing words. She's noticing patterns in the language and trying to apply them. What's something you did with your child to help them develop?
