My children do not live with me right now. They live with their mother.

I check on them, I pray for them, and I take care of what they need. I hope to seek full custody one day, once I can properly care for them, but I cannot promise when.

Honestly, I don’t think it should work that way. 😂🤷🏽‍♂️ The fact that a lady chats you up first doesn’t automatically mean she should be responsible for carrying the entire conversation. Yes, she made the first move, and that’s something worth appreciating, but a conversation involves two people, not one person interviewing the other. 😭😂

If she greets you and makes an effort to start a conversation, the least you can do is show some interest too. Ask her questions, contribute to the discussion, and give her a reason to feel that you’re enjoying talking to her. You can’t expect someone to keep asking questions while you only give dry replies like “okay,” “lol,” “yeah,” and “nothing much.” 😂💔

At the same time, I believe that whoever initiates a conversation should be willing to make an effort to get it started. But once the conversation begins, both people should participate. Initiating a conversation is not the same as carrying a conversation. Those are two different things entirely.

If a lady has the courage to approach you first, don’t make her regret it by acting uninterested. And if a man approaches a lady first, she should also make an effort if she’s genuinely interested. Nobody should have to beg for someone’s attention or feel like they’re conducting an interview just to get to know another person. 😅

Especially on dating apps, where everyone claims to be looking for something serious, communication should be mutual. You can’t say you’re looking for a meaningful connection while expecting the other person to do all the work.

The goal isn’t to see who can text first or who can ask the most questions. The goal is to see whether two people can genuinely connect, communicate, and show interest in each other. If the energy is always coming from one side, eventually that person will get tired and stop trying.

So, yes, appreciate the person who makes the first move, but don’t confuse making the first move with being responsible for the entire conversation. If you’re interested, show it. If you’re not, be honest. Simple! ❤️🤝🏽

Today I am thankful for small things. My health. My faith. My two children. A job that pays my bills while I rebuild.

I used to wait for big wins before I said "Alhamdulillah." Now I say it for the small ones too.

Sixteen years ago, I started my business with a small dream. There were good years. There were also years I lost money, clients, and almost everything. Many times I wanted to stop. Each time, I made dua, got up, and started again.

Today I am still rebuilding. I am working a job while my business grows again. There is no shame in that. Allah rewards effort and patience.
