Marriage works best when both spouses are conscious of Allah and aware that they will stand before Him one day. In Islam, rights and duties were never meant to be tools for control, manipulation, or constant score-keeping.
They are trusts given by Allah, to be upheld with sincerity, mercy, and responsibility.
When a husband fulfils his role out of fear of Allah not just because he is demanded to and when a wife honours her responsibilities knowing Allah sees even what is hidden, the home naturally becomes a place of tranquillity.
A marriage rooted in the fear of Allah is not perfect, but it is protected. It is sustained by sincerity, forgiveness, and the constant awareness that pleasing Allah matters more than winning arguments.
