People who bites the hand that feeds them usually lick the boots that kicks them.

Those who betray kindness always bow to power. People forget where they came from the moment a louder voice calls them forward. They turn against the hand that once fed them because generosity feels ordinary, but force feels impressive. Gratitude is quiet, so they ignore it. Fear is loud, so they obey it. This is the tragedy of character, some trade dignity for acceptance, and respect only hurts them.

A wise person learns early that true loyalty is not measured by how someone treats you when they need you, but by how they speak of you they no longer do.

One of the books that quietly changed my heart was Men and Women Around the Prophet.
I expected to meet heroes.
Instead, I met human beings.
People who loved deeply, grieved deeply, feared, hoped, stumbled, repented, and still became beloved to Allah.
Reading their lives reminded me that faith isn't about never breaking.
It's about always finding your way back to Allah.
Ever since then, I've tried to read biographies differently.
Not to admire people from a distance, but to ask, What part of their character can I carry with me today?

If you can't find love,

Talk gently to yourself.

Hey, sweet girl,
you are a dove.

I like your smile,
the extra mile
you always walk.

Take your worries
out of your brain,
place them in your pink basket,
wrap them in a soft blanket,

and whisper,

"Not today.

You can rest here.
I'll carry hope instead."

Writing
I used to wonder why people read the same book more than once.
The words never change.
The pages stay where they are.
The ink doesn't rewrite itself overnight.
Then I began reading with my heart instead of only my eyes.
I realized that books don't always reveal something new about themselves.
Sometimes, they reveal something new about you.
The clearest example is the Qur'an.
You may pass by the same verse a hundred times. Then one day, in the middle of an ordinary afternoon, that very verse stops you.
Not because Allah's words changed.
But because your heart did.
Perhaps that is the quiet miracle of reading.
The page waits patiently until the reader is ready.

Please, go back to reading. Go back. If a book is difficult, buy comics. But go back to reading and exercise critical thinking, reflection, interpretation. Everyone is collectively getting dumber.♟️
