The Book We Pretend We Are Reading
There is always that one book.
The one we bought with great excitement.
We read a few chapters.
Then life happened.
We put it down for a little while.
And somehow, that little while became three months.
The book has been sitting quietly in the same place ever since, probably wondering if we have forgotten that it exists.
Then someone asks,
"Are you still reading that book?"
"Of course."
Of course.
Meanwhile, the book has gathered enough dust to qualify for a small family meeting.
But we still mean to finish it.
One day.
And maybe that is the funny thing about reading.
We can have ten books waiting for us and still find ourselves buying another one because apparently the problem was never the number of books.
The problem was our confidence that we would somehow have more time tomorrow.
So here is to the books we started.
The books we paused.
The books we fully intend to finish.
And the books currently sitting on our shelves, patiently pretending not to judge us.

If you feel that life is boring or you've lost your passion... You should rebalance the chemicals in your brain .
Reading books, painting, gardening, tidy up the room, do exercise and less using social media these would help increase levels of good quality dopamine. Then you will have goals, motivation and less depression.
