Someone mentioned Obstacle Is the Way to me today.
It's been a while since I read it.
I can't remember every chapter or every quote.
But somehow, hearing its name felt familiar, almost like meeting an old friend.
It reminded me that the best books don't always finish their work when we close them.

Book 3: No More Mr. Nice Guy by Dr. Robert Glover
A man should be kind.
But he should not be weak, needy, or dependent on approval.
This book helps men understand people-pleasing, hidden resentment, poor boundaries, fear of conflict, and the habit of saying “yes” while silently feeling disrespected.
Before marriage, a man should learn how to express his needs, set boundaries, take responsibility, and be honest without becoming rude.
Because a good husband is not a man who avoids conflict.
He is a man who handles it with maturity.

The best books don't just make us smarter.

The more I read, the more I realise that every person is carrying a story I cannot see.
Some are grieving quietly.
Some are fighting battles they never speak about.
Some are simply trying to make it through another day.
Books have taught me that people are rarely just "good" or "bad."
They are often hurting, healing, hoping, and trying again.
Maybe that's why I love reading.
Not because it gives me all the answers, but because it reminds me to judge less, listen more, and choose compassion whenever I can.
If a book leaves you with a softer heart than the one you started with, perhaps that's one of the greatest stories it could ever tell.
