Even if you’re the worst sinner in the world, never abandon your Salah. That’s one of Shaytan’s tricks to make you think you’re not worthy of praying. Don’t fall for it.

Your Salah could be the very means through which Allah عز وجل forgives your sins & guide YOU. It’s your lifeline, your connection with your Creator.

And remember: The very first thing you’ll be asked about on the Day of Judgment is your Salah.

So protect it. Fight for it. Stick to it. Strive to improve it.

My name is Ivory, 34F, in Miami. At times I'm not sure if looking into dating apps for Muslims is even a good idea since I am doing my best to focus on my education courses and in my journey of building myself up for better career opportunities. I know marriage is half my deen, and I would love for a Muslim man to accept my twin boys and my new self that I'm creating.

I have made a lot of mistakes in my past, and I just want to be a better version of myself. I find myself shying away from people when I feel like I'm not enough or that right now, even at my age, since I have some new opportunities in life that I may not even have time but I don't like to bare the thought that I will be lonely forever.

I'm getting older of course and even though I may not be too old I'm still no spring chicken let alone a barbie. I have low esteem at but I'm correcting that now by doing active exercises, Lymphatic Drainage, and even eating with puropse-to sustain not to fill.

Although I know someone somewhere in the world may accept my sons and I, there's still that low murmured sound that tells me I'm not good enough so I combat it by striving to do and be better.

What do you think? Anyone is welcome to comment, I have become quite fond of constructive criticism and firm understanding of what I should and shouldn't do.

I tried saying “Awrite Bigg’yin!” to someone on the Elizabeth Line of the London Underground a couple years back. The chap thought I was having a seizure lol 🤣 anyhow she good to connect with my own clansman 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Since last October I tried Muslim marriage events in south/West Yorkshire, east/west Midlands; met some lovely Asian brothers but there were circumstances such as no compatibility in regards to where we’re in our lives or them having young children, or due to the long distance or having a huge age gap at either side etc; no chances. I also met some weirdos who wanted to have non halal relationships (kisses, hugs, secret niqah; none given), some requested going for 50:50 but no nikah registration; I am back to square one. As-Salam Alyikm, are there any reverts in the US, preferably a southern state, who are still have trouble looking for a spouse? I have been searching for a while and haven't been able to find anyone. It seems most born Muslims prefer to marry their daughters to other born Muslims. Seems marrying another Revert is my best option but I live in a small community with not many reverts. If anyone is interested in getting to know one another for marriage please let me know.

To my fellow reverts, especially those who left Christianity because you realized that much of what Christians believe cannot actually be found in the Bible itself:

Please apply that same standard to Islam.

If you rejected Christianity because doctrines were being established through traditions, church teachings, and writings outside the Bible, ask yourself why you would then become Sunni and accept religious beliefs, laws, and practices based on hadith collections that are not the Quran.

And there’s something else we should seriously think about.

The Quran repeatedly warns us about the Ahlul Kitab—about people taking religious authorities besides Allah, concealing or altering revelation, and following traditions that were not commanded by Allah. Then there is a well-known hadith in the Sunni tradition saying that this ummah will follow the footsteps of those who came before them, even to the point of following them into a lizard’s hole.

So ask yourself: Could one of the things we were warned about be repeating the same pattern—turning later religious traditions into authorities alongside the Book of Allah?

You didn’t leave Christianity just to replace one set of extra-scriptural authorities with another.

The Quran describes itself as fully detailed, an explanation of all things, and says that nothing has been neglected in the Book. So ask the simple question:

Is what I believe actually established by Allah’s Book, or am I accepting it because a later tradition told me it is part of the religion?

Don’t be afraid to examine the foundation of what you were taught. If the Quran is truly Allah’s revelation, then it should be the standard by which everything else is judged.
