Should I even be thinking about marriage if I feel so jaded 😭 I feel like as a revert I am double-jaded and have baggage in my identity that would blindsight a pious Muslim man most likely… that I’m afraid to even talk about marriage with someone that seems really dedicated and on the straight path cause honestly I feel too messed up. And the guys I’ve interacted with that don’t care at all about this seem to care most about *** 🫨 I know it will all be ok in the end but maybe I should just stop looking for now..?

THE IMPORTANCE OF TAWAKKUL
(TRUST IN ALLAH)
INSPIRED BY THE STORY OF PROPHET MUSA (AS)
One of the greatest lessons from the story of Prophet Musa (AS) is the importance of Tawakkul placing complete trust in Allah while striving to do what is right.
Prophet Musa (AS) trusted Allah completely, even when there seemed to be no escape.
Then Allah commanded him to strike the sea with his staff, and by Allah's permission, the sea parted into towering paths.
The believers crossed safely, while Firawn and his army were drowned.
This miracle teaches us that when we sincerely rely upon Allah, He opens doors that we could never imagine.
(Al-Qur'an 26:63-66)
HOW CAN WE PRACTICE TAWAKKUL?
Make sincere du'ä.
Work hard and fulfill your responsibilities.
Be patient with Allah's decree.
Leave the results to Allah.
Remember Allah in times of ease and hardship.
When Prophet Musa (AS) and the Children of Israel reached the sea, Fir'awn and his army were pursuing them.
The people became frightened and said:
6 Indeed, we are sure to be overtaken."
But Prophet Musa (AS) replied with complete certainty:
6 No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."
(Al-Qur'an 26:61-62)
WHAT IS TAWAKKUL?
Tawakkul means placing your complete trust in Allah after making the necessary effort. It is not abandoning action, but doing your best while believing that the outcome is in Allah's Hands.
LESSONS FROM PROPHET MUSA (AS)
Trust Allah even when the situation seems impossible.
Never lose hope in Allah's mercy.
Be patient during trials.
Obey Allah's commands without hesitation.
Believe that Allah's help will come at the right time.
A REMINDER
Every believer faces moments when the future seems uncertain. At such times, remember the words of Prophet Musa (AS):
"No! Indeed, with me is my Lord;
He will guide me.
(Al-Qur'an 26:61-62)
Place your trust in Allah, continue doing what is right, and know that He is the Best of Planners.

As converts, do you sometimes feel misunderstood or judged for bringing up Prophet Jesus' name ﷺ or quoting something from the Bible?
