Alhamdulillah, we are Muslims. But how can we be comfortable openly committing sins while knowing that every action we do is being recorded?

Don’t we know that a Day will come when we will stand before Allah ﷻ and be held accountable for our actions?

Some people may do certain things as a joke, for attention, or simply to troll others. But a sin does not become harmless just because we call it a joke.

Allah ﷻ reminds us of His vast mercy, and we should never despair of it. But the Qur’an also warns us of His punishment. We cannot only speak about the mercy of Allah ﷻ while ignoring His warnings and accountability.

None of us is perfect. We all sin and make mistakes. But there is a difference between falling into a sin, feeling remorse and turning back to Allah ﷻ, and openly displaying or normalising sinful behaviour without concern.

This is a reminder to myself first and then to everyone else: fear Allah ﷻ in what you do publicly and privately. Every action matters, every word matters, and one day we will return to Him.

May Allah ﷻ forgive our sins, guide us back whenever we go astray, protect us from becoming comfortable with disobedience, and grant us sincere repentance before we return to Him.

Ameen.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone.

The right person will bring peace to your heart, not confusion to your mind.

May Allah bless us all with righteous spouses. Ameen.

Question for everyone 🤔✨

What’s one (or more!) funny or surprising thing your parents, elders or family members ever told you – linked to Islam or growing up – that was meant to scare you or keep you in line? These are the kinds of well-meaning but silly stereotypes we all remember! 😂

For example:
🐟 When I was little, I was told if I watched TV during Maghrib prayer, Allah would turn me into a fish! Looking back it’s hilarious – and while we absolutely shouldn’t be distracted from prayer at this blessed time, that myth definitely stuck with me!

🧍‍♂️ I was also warned if you jump over someone, they’ll end up short for life! We’d jump over each other anyway… then immediately jump back over them in the opposite direction to “undo the curse” 😭😭

Would love to hear your funny childhood stories too! 🤗👇

O Allah, keep us away from illness, debt, poverty, hardship, failure, and selfish people.

O Allah, open for us the doors of mercy, lawful wealth, lasting health, peace, and prosperity in this world and the Hereafter. AAMEEN!
