A man paid his wife $250k a year to be a STHM. And $150k for each pregnancy. And another became a human chair for his preg wife at the hospital..why are some men becoming overcels (Maasha Allah) while some of us cannot demand for a basic right 🤦🤦

H.Davis on Instagram: "A family’s unusual financial arrangement has gone viral after entrepreneur and minister Yahdan Yada said he pays his wife, Aj’a Yada, $250,000 a year to be a stay-at-home mom. He has also said he gives her $150,000 for each pregnancy and each child, explaining that he views pregnancy, childbirth, and full-time caregiving as valuable labor that deserves financial recognition rather than being taken for granted. With the couple expecting their fifth child, social media users calculated that the value of the arrangement now approaches $1 million a year, fueling a heated debate online. Supporters say it’s a meaningful way to recognize the sacrifices of motherhood, while critics argue parenting shouldn’t be treated like a salaried job. The couple has said the payments are simply how they choose to value each other’s contributions to their family."

Tomorrow, I turn thirty-six.

Strangely, the woman who reminded me that this day even existed is not from my country, my language, or my culture. She is a Filipino Muslim woman who fears Allah. While many people passed through my life without even noticing my existence, she simply said:

"Happy Birthday, Hussein. May Allah grant you a long life."

At that moment, I realized I hadn't forgotten my birthday... I had forgotten myself.

There are prisons not built with walls, but with disappointments. There are chains no one can see, yet they make a person afraid even of happiness when it comes close.

That is why, before becoming a good husband to her, I want to break the last chain the past left inside me. I don't want a woman who loved me sincerely to spend her life with a man who is still a prisoner of people who have long since left.

Perhaps my thirty-sixth year is not the beginning of a new age... but the beginning of my freedom from the person I used to be.

WAKE UP!!!!!

I have a question I know it's late one side of the world is sleeping 😴 the other is just waking up 😄 How many plates are on your table when your family or friends sit down to eat? I’ve always been fascinated by those beautiful family style set-up the kind with the pretty dishes, silverware lined up, different plates for every course, and serving bowls in the middle. We usually go all out when we have guests BECAUSE WHO is washing all those dishes afterward? The guests sure aren't helping clean up. Soooooooo Tell me your table style!
