I came to the Jamaa today and noticed that Shehnaz9 's ID has been deleted. What happened to her? Is she married?
I last spoke to her about a month ago. I had asked her out for a matcha date, and then I left this place. What happened after that? Can someone please tell me?

When I was 15 I went to Egypt for the first time to visit my father. I noticed immediately that all the men would look me in my soul up and down. Which was weird because in America it’s like wth are yall lookin at bro? I’m a man. I learned little by little that culture is different. And that many of these men never interact with women more than in a coffee shop or their own family. Which is perfectly fine. Outside the apartment I use to live in there was a door man named Fathi. He was a sweet man and would always say “miss you” as I left from the building to go do whatever I was doing. I learned later what he was really saying was “Monsieur” which is French for sir, but I was an American kid so I was like whys this old man always saying he misses me every time I leave? I really liked him. One day he asked me if I was married and I told him no, because obviously I was 15 at the time. And then I asked him if he was married? And he said no. I couldn’t understand. He was almost 50. When I asked him why his shoulder shrugged and he held up his hand pretended to thumb through some money. I felt sorry for him. Because I knew he was a good man. The more I stayed in Egypt I realized that a lot of men were single and had never been with a woman. And some men were able to accomplish that feat. And some not so much, And most would do that same gesture Fathi did. “No Money”. I think marriage should be afforded to everyone who is willing and has a good heart. But I know that certain parameters are put in place to make sure the woman is taken care of. But regardless I think the Muslim world would be a much better place if men could secure a future without having to spend so much in this life when what matters is how you treat who you have. And you will earn what you deserve in this life and the next inshallah. Just a little rant
