While this isn’t gender-based, I see it mostly expressed in women. I see some women complain about experiencing real love, being unable to find someone who truly loves them or getting hurt by the people they choose.

What we don't understand is that there’s no way on earth that God hasn’t sent a specific person to love you more than you can imagine or perhaps someone who has the potential to love you wholeheartedly.

But due to the standards we’ve created for ourselves, we’ve somehow become shortsighted when it comes to realizing that. We become so focused on what we think love should look like (the appearance, status, money, personality, lifestyle or the kind of person we imagined we'll end up with) that we sometimes overlook someone who genuinely has the heart to love us.

Sometimes the person who would love you deeply may not come in the package you expected. And because they don’t immediately meet the standards in your head, you may never give them the chance to show you the kind of love you've always wanted to experience

Sometimes, we become so focused on finding the love we want that we fail to recognize the love that is actually being offered to us by the universe

During the research of my other half, I recently came across the profile of a girl that liked me a while ago, I couldn't see it before because I don't have a gold membership to view who's interested and it took the app sometime to present me this beautiful profile.
A lot of things in common, a very interesting bio especially her perspective on life, and of course an attractive appearance.
I liked her back and sent a small greeting message followed by a small icebreaking joke related to something she said in her bio. The app was saying that this person was active this week so I wasn't expecting a reply very soon but I was hoping to receive a message back before the match expires because I was very excited in knowing this person.
After a day and a half I got a reply, the message preview on the notification showed that she enjoyed the joke, I clicked on the app just to find that this person blocked me, I couldn't even read her reply, I'll let you imagine how disappointing this was.
Not sure if it was intentional or a bug from the app.

I wonder if we could someday have a little space here dedicated to sustainable living, eco-conscious choices and mindful living.

A place where we could share what we’re learning — from eco-friendly homes and natural materials to conscious shopping, reducing waste, sustainable businesses, DIYs and our own little experiences of trying to live more gently.

I feel there are so many people here who have something beautiful to share, and it could be lovely to have a space where we can learn from one another, exchange ideas and inspire each other.* 🌱

Just a small suggestion, but perhaps it could grow into a really meaningful part of the Jamaa community. 🤍
