Have you noticed? intellectuals, the whole enlightened class.. majority of them are unmarried. Maybe they figured out something about marriage that ordinary people are too sentimental to see.
Or maybe no one can tolerate them. 🤔

"If people misunderstand you, do not worry...
It is your voice that they hear, but what goes through their mind is their own thoughts". (Rumi)

I’m a sweet partner to a loving partner
And a loving friend to a good friend.
What I mean is.....
You can’t give me plain rice
And expect me to give you biryani or jollof rice
Imagine giving me bread and expecting me to give you pizza😏

𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 / 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 / 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 /𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞

I hear people say I need to protect my “peace” this that (that’s the old model)
Cos what kind of a fulfilled full life is that?
While your in that state u cant be fully peaceful nor can u do the peace justice
I don’t protect mine,
I’ll tell u what works:
To assign the job to
𝐀𝐥-𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐢𝐧
The Guardian, The Overseer, The One who watches over and protects His creation.

and

𝐀𝐥 - 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦
The One who is free from all imperfection, and the Source of peace, safety and wholeness.

If these are His specialties / attributes why would I try to take on that role (with my earthly limits)? The maths isn’t mathsing.
Allah will do a better job at it.
He knows that. Thats why He taught me His names
He also taught us to trust Him.
Perfect combination (:
And me, I can chill in the knowing He has me.

All I need to do is follow the yellow brick road (green in this case)
and align w Allah (in doing so peace and all things beautiful become a byproduct) aye aye 🫡

Maybe there is no such thing as believing in the Rabb and marrying for chemistry or love, maybe marriages nowadays are a matter of convenience..maybe those sweet old times have changed.
The greatest love stories challenged personal preferences and tackled all forms of challenges and hurdles..

The whole story

Taking things at face value is the most common sense and logical thing to do. Though, some of us may prefere to share our part of the story that is relevant at the time.

While some like to share their side of the story only and don't tell the whole story, including the side of the story of the other person who is also involved in the story.

It's a great skill where some of us dig deep behind the whys and the motives of other's perspectives. Plus ask how they make the decisions they made or arrived to the conclusion of their story.

In conclusion, there is always three parts to every story. Our side of the story, the other person's side of the story and the whole unbiased full story. Therefore, it's wise to hear all parts of the story before giving asked advice, or make any judgement that's only based on one side of the story to not give wrong impression to someone's character.

May Allah SWT purify our characters, bless our efforts and take us back to Him in the best of health and eman.

💙 الحمدلله
Astaghfiru'Allah 🤍 📿
