🧠 Mental Health Check-In 🌿

A gentle reminder:

You do not have to be strong every single day.

Some days you’ll feel motivated, productive, and full of energy.
Other days, simply getting out of bed, showing up, and making it through the day is an achievement.

Both days count.

We often speak to ourselves in ways we would never speak to someone we love. We criticize ourselves for being tired, overwhelmed, anxious, or struggling. Yet healing rarely comes from self-judgment—it comes from self-compassion.

Take a moment today and ask yourself:

🤍 Have I been resting enough?
🤍 Have I been carrying burdens I was never meant to carry alone?
🤍 Have I been giving myself the same kindness I give to others?
🤍 Have I taken time to nourish my mind, body, and soul?

Remember: seeking support is not weakness. Taking care of your mental health is not selfish. Setting boundaries is not being rude.

You deserve the same care, patience, and understanding that you so freely give to others.

And if today feels heavy, don’t focus on the whole journey. Just take the next step.

May Allah ease every anxious heart, heal every hidden wound, lighten every burden, and grant peace to those silently struggling. May He fill our hearts with hope, our minds with clarity, and our lives with His mercy and tranquility.

Allahumma Ameen. 🤲🌿🤍

5 things to do to finally find inner peace:

  1. Dont expect anything from anyone.

  2. Accept everything that Allah has decided for you.

  3. Dont keep thinking about the past or worrying about the future, focus on the present and do your best today.

  4. Be happy with little and be grateful for everything.

  5. Forgive, even if they don't ask for your forgiveness.

Peace begins when you stop trying to control everything and start trusting Allah's plan.

Self love & Self obsession
self-obsession is misunderstood as self-love, while in reality both are completely different states of mind.

Self-obsession begins subtly .... with a quiet belief of superiority 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 , 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐈 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. Gradually, this belief turns into a mental loop where a person becomes trapped within their own perception. Everything is filtered through their own thinking and slowly the ability to truly listen, reflect, or consider start to fade. It creates an illusion of certainty, where questioning feels unnecessary and even uncomfortable. Outwardly, the person may appear confident, but internally they remain confined within a narrow mental space where growth is limited, because nothing is allowed to challenge their existing beliefs.

Self-love on the other hand, is entirely different. It does not isolate a person within themselves instead, it makes them open, aware, and emotionally balanced. It allows a person to experience life without immediate judgment, to listen without resistance, and to understand before reacting. In self-love, acceptance does not mean blind agreement:, it means conscious awareness of what aligns with you and what needs to be released. It creates a space where learning becomes continuous and personal growth feels natural. There is no comparison no competition with others .... only a steady commitment to becoming a better version of yourself.

Self-love does not trap you within yourself it expands you beyond 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲.

Assalamu alaikum!

Alhamdulilah, after 1.5 years of patience, dedication and prayers, we're launching Hira, our ad-free, meditation and prayer app for Muslims who are feel far from Allah especially in guilt or doubt in Islam!

This all started with my own faith journey.

As I deeply struggled with faith and lacked a sense of purpose. I struggled to read the Quran everyday. Some nights I couldn't sleep because of my worries.

I hated everything and everyone at some point especially due to the expectations set on me.

I searched for apps that could support and encourage me spiritually because I didn’t have anyone and realised only Allah is listening.

I had found that prayer apps covered the three basics: prayer times, Quran and dhikr.

Those weren’t going to help me as someone who was in a dark place that struggled to even think about prayer or the Quran itself.

I just couldn't find an app that had it all…

So with my sister, we built the app I wish I had when I was re-discovering Islam.

Meet Hira.

You can listen to meditations, reflections, stories, duas, recitations. You can read the Quran, request duas from others, play games and a whole lot more.

The name comes from the Cave of Hira, a small cave on Jabal al-Nour where the Prophet ﷺ retreated for solitude and reflection.

Perfect name for our app where you want to just escape from the noise like the Prophet ﷺ did.

Available on iOS and Android. (Yes, Android too!)

Link in the comments.

Please note that this is not a substitute for a therapist. I know it might be difficult to speak to someone but at least talk to someone in this group, don’t keep it inside. May Allah make it easy for you. 🤲
