DON’T MARRY SOMEONE YOU CAN’T PLAY WITH. MARRIAGE IS NOT A MILITARY BARRACK.
Think deeply.
Think twice before you choose the person you will spend the rest of your life with.
Marriage is not just about finding someone who looks good, dresses well, or makes you happy in public.
It is about finding someone you can laugh with, joke with, talk to freely, share your fears with, and still feel safe around when life becomes difficult.
Some of you know exactly what you are going through behind closed doors.
You cry silently, hide your pain, and smile in front of people who think you have the perfect marriage.
You are afraid to speak because you don't want the world to know what is happening in your home.
Marriage is supposed to be a place of peace, not a prison where you are afraid to be yourself.
Yes, marriage requires patience, responsibility, respect, and sacrifice.
But it should not mean living with someone who treats you like a soldier under constant command,
where every little mistake becomes a war and every conversation becomes an argument.
Choose someone who fears Allah, respects you, and understands that love is not only about providing money or fulfilling responsibilities.
Sometimes,
love is laughing together after a difficult day, comforting each other in silence, or making your spouse smile when the world has made them tired.
Remember,
you are not choosing someone for your wedding day alone.
You are choosing someone to face old age, hardship, sickness, disappointment, and the ordinary days when there is nothing exciting happening.
A word to the wise is enough. Think twice before you make a decision that could affect the rest of your life.
May Allah grant us marriages filled with mercy, tranquillity, love, patience, and genuine companionship.
