Today’s Du’a
Ya Allah, grant me a day filled with Your mercy, decisions guided by Your wisdom, and outcomes better than I could have planned.
Ya Rabb, protect me from what is not meant for me, bless what is good for me, and give me the courage to embrace the path You choose for my life.
Let me notice Your blessings in the little things, find peace in Your remembrance, and trust You through every moment.
Ameen Ya’Rabil’Alameen🤲

If you speak the truth about what you can do, you stay single.

Life ends like this...

Which stage of this life would you like to get back?

1 Day? 8 Years? 15 Years? 25 Years? Or 45 Years?

I miss my childhood when there was no tension, no pain. Just pure happiness.

Which one do you want back? Comment below.

Assalamualaikum everyone.

My name is Solimullah, I am from Bangladesh. I am a Muslim, honest and respectful man. I am looking for a serious and halal friendship that can lead to Nikah, InshaAllah.
I know the distance between USA and Bangladesh is many hours, but I believe if intention is sincere and pure, distance is nothing for Allah. I respect American culture and I respect women.
I am not here for games or time pass. I am looking for someone who is kind, respectful and serious about life.
If you are interested to know me as a friend with respect, please message me. JazakAllah Khair.

One of the useless things about this platform. People block you if you just initiate conversation because you like the profile. If you feel that insecure, tell your dad or mom to find you some one. Don’t try to showcase yourself first and if someone has shown interest, have some guts to either respond or deny.

This is the saddest thing nowadays people have during this social media era.

I know and very much aware as a hijabi living in Texas (new to the state was in Cali before) sometimes people can be judgy. Is it because I am Muslim? I don’t know. Tbh I don’t give much attention to what stranger think as long as I am nice to others. This thought just came to mind as I was listening to Epic masjid explaining how they have been targeted by the state politicians for years.

Couple weeks ago I came into the leasing office of an apartment I was applying for (which is now I’m already moved into) I didn’t meet the leasing girl who was a sweet pleasant lady but her manager. I inquired on my application status. She said I was cleared on most of the screening checks but one which is background check on crime and most states are on the clear except 2 states which seems taking time to come back with the results. One of the state was California. She mentioned it’s not normal for California to take this long and dropped something along the line insinuating that “if I have a record maybe I should come clean with it”. Mind you it was only day 2. And yes, I felt offended. I told her I am clean. I acted normal and all nice and sweet but deep down I wasn’t happy. We said goodbyes and left. That was unprofessional to say the least to quickly assumed your potential resident/customer the worse. But hey I was approved the very next day. She’s not my favorite and I avoided her after

I have also experienced the same treatment at a San Francisco airport weeks earlier. I was alone just got dropped off by an uber with a cat in huge carrier sitting outside the entrance door. My cat plus carrier weight almost 27lbs! I couldn’t be doing it on my own. I went directly to a gay guy who was working for Alaska airline (the airline I was about to take) for help but he quickly dismissed me with such a huge snob sticking his nose up in the air announcing he’s not helping any “kid” out. Referring to my cat. Wow! What a rude air head. Alhamdulliah another passerby was kind enough to help me out.

I have also met kind non Muslims who looked beyond my hijab and willing to help out without any judgement. A shout out to a kind young man who works at petsmart in San Mateo. I know he’s not here but still it’s nice to mention and remember the kindness he has shown while I was very much in need of a help. That day I missed my flight. Not because I was late but because my bank blocked me so I couldn’t make payment at the counter. I had to book a night stay at a hotel nearby. Went out to the pet store to buy my cat his litter box unfortunately I was declined again at the counter. Luckily I had some cash. Told the guy at the counter a brief story of what happened that day. Just wasn’t my day, my internet wasn’t working as well. Found a Starbucks nearby and started poured out my frustration with my bank over what they did. Realizing I was in deep trouble earlier and even thought I might have to walk back to the hotel. I had no choice but to return back the cat box. There is no way I’m walking back to the hotel carrying a 28lbs of a litter sand. NOPE. But alhamdulliah I managed to get my card working again. Called uber. Seeing I had enough time to buy the a cat box before my ride arrive, ran back to the store talked to the same guy. He told me he had paid for my litter box. I was surprised. Mashallah what a kind man. I still remember what he said “my mother needed help. My father needed help. We all need help sometimes. Take it. Your cat needs it.” He even helped carrying the box straight to the car. That was the nicest gesture I ever received from a stranger. Oh yeah if I’m not mistaken his name was Micheal.

American things I have never adopted despite being here 17+ years. Alhamdulillah...

Halloween...
Sports that other countries don't care. Like baseball. 😂
Voice mail greeting on phone...
Thinking I should pay for everything in this world....
Putting ice to cold drinks....
Crazy AC (WORST!) My neighbors were even using it when outside temperature was 70!!!!!!

I told my parents if I get fed up I’m going to go get a woman that is not South Asian. Most of the people I run into are far too demanding and want everything.

Fully paid off house etc etc. It seems like a transaction more than anything? I am fed up. I’ve met so many others who are less demanding and don’t waste my time. They are reverts, or they happen to be non-Muslim, unfortunately.

Have you guys seen this discussions? Let’s discuss it here! I think this was the best sit down between these two schools of thought ever, so far. And I’m hoping there will be a PART 2 (or more) https://youtu.be/XiCi0oKkC3o

I don’t want to spoil it. But if you’d rather do a quick read and don’t have time to watch it,I’ll list a few points about it:

  • -Topic is ‘Aqeedah (Islamic schools of thought in Creed/Belief)
  • -Athari school VS Ash’ari school
  • -the talk is very civilised and respect is shown on both sides
  • -many talks on these topics get too heated and nothing is accomplished
  • -both the Imams presented academic and intellectual proof and evidence for their points
  • -the two schools agree on many points of belief
  • -at a certain point they did disagree, and it gets a bit heated but at least both sides are made clear for people to understand.
  • -main point of contention is verses referring to “The Hand of Allah”
  • -Athari school teaches that ‘Allahs Hand is not like a human hand’
  • -Ash’ari school teaches that ‘the word “Hand” doesn’t really mean “hand” it means “Allah’s Power’
