Three years on @muzz and not a single decent match! Is this app completely useless, or are you just after people's money?
I’ve paid for a subscription, expecting a proper service, but it feels like an absolute rip-off. It seems your main priority is taking our hard-earned cash rather than actually helping Muslims complete half their deen. Total waste of time and money!
@Moogzy
Assalamu Alaikum.
I live in London and looking for a serious path to marriage, strictly halal. Age or past marriage status doesn't matter to me at all what matters is character, honesty, and being 100% genuine about settling down. No games, just looking for the real deal. Drop a message
Thanks! ♥️
I’d genuinely like to hear people’s honest opinions about a difficult decision I made.
I had been separated from the mother of my children for six years before I travelled abroad and eventually remarried. My second wife was of Arab background, and at the beginning, we genuinely loved each other and had a good connection.
However, over time, I started noticing behaviours that I struggled to understand. I’m naturally a person who likes joking and keeping things light, but she would often take my words very seriously and sometimes turn the smallest comment into an argument, even when I had clearly been joking.
As a doctor, I started to suspect that she might be struggling with OCD or severe anxiety. She never told me this herself, so I didn't want to make assumptions or confront her about something I wasn't certain about. Later, I realised that she was taking medication, which confirmed my suspicions. Even then, I never brought it up or judged her for it.
Despite these difficulties, there was still love between us and many good moments. But gradually, I began to feel that I was walking on eggshells. Eventually, she didn't want me to visit her workplace and didn't even want her neighbours to know about me.
That was the point at which I started to feel that I couldn't have the sense of trust, openness and security that I believe a marriage needs.
I eventually decided to divorce her. It wasn't an easy decision, and I still ask myself whether I handled it correctly.
So I'd genuinely like to ask:
Was I wrong to end the marriage because I no longer felt emotionally secure and comfortable in the relationship? Or was leaving the right decision, even though there was still love between us?
I'd appreciate honest opinions, even if you disagree with me.
