Anyone else feel bad for the women in our ummah? I don’t mean to hurt any feelings here but I’m watching every non Muslim around me get married to a good man, educated, good salary, respectful, helpful, nurturing, empathetic and have a look at our sisters struggling to find any respectable man (and I mean men who are of good character) and very few of them are actually educated. Just this week I had two of my white friends get married, one to a mechanical engineer and one to a man with an MBA. Both men were leaders, financially responsible for the women, truly GOOD men of good character. I see none of my Muslim friends married to men who are kind, respectful of them, etc and most of them are not settling for this reason. All of us feel like losers because we are unable to marry but u have a look at the men around and I’m not blaming us… I’d rather stay single for life if I can’t find a man with basic human decency at the very least. I’m not sure if it’s this app because I couldn’t meet a man in university, no Muslims at my uni. No Muslims at my work. Even though Canada is full of Muslims I don’t really mingle with men and it’s hard to find someone to meet if it’s not an app, and I know apps aren’t representative of all men. I’m hoping the good men are off apps, where can I meet them? Only app I have is also muzz. Even in person any time I have met a good man with a good personality (I’m not even looking for a good job even though I prefer it, I make enough on my own), they are not Muslim. I feel like if I want to marry and have kids I need to marry non Muslim to find a quality man or accept being single, and my deen is more important than anything else so I will remain single. But I’m almost 30 and I know it will only get worse as the older the Muslim man is and has remained married, they have shown me severe red flags even the younger ones don’t have.
Happy Fathers day to all the Dads and Fathers and especially big respect for the Single Fathers. And also Happy Father's day to all the Single Mothers for doing the father's work.
