A sincere piece of advice for anyone looking for a life partner. 🤍

This might be a long read, but trust me, it's worth reading. Please take a few minutes to read this, especially if you're looking for a spouse.

I don't usually give unsolicited advice, but I genuinely believe this is something worth sharing. So, if you're looking for a husband or wife, please look beyond looks, money, status and sweet words. Pay attention to their character, especially how they treat people from whom they have nothing to gain.

Look for someone who is kind and helpful towards others, whether it's family, strangers, or even animals. Someone who does good without expecting anything in return. That tells you a lot about their heart and how genuine they are. A person who shows compassion to others is more likely to bring that same kindness into your marriage, too.

Here are a few things I believe you should pay attention to before choosing your life partner:

♡ Observe how they treat others. Are they respectful towards everyone, or only towards people they want to impress?
♡ Pay attention to honesty. If they lie to you about small things, don't ignore the pattern. Trust is built through honesty and consistency.
♡ Notice how they speak about people behind their backs. If they constantly backbite about others in front of you, ask yourself whether they might do the same about you when you're not around.
♡ Look at how they handle conflict. Are they someone who tries to resolve misunderstandings, or someone who adds fuel to the fire and turns every disagreement into unnecessary drama?
♡ Observe their ego. Can they admit when they're wrong, apologise sincerely and learn from their mistakes? Or does their pride always come first?
♡ Pay attention to their communication. A healthy connection allows both people to speak openly, listen to understand, and resolve issues without trying to hurt or humiliate each other.
♡ Notice whether they take responsibility for their actions. Do they always portray themselves as the victim, or can they acknowledge their own part in a problem?
♡ Look at their attitude towards forgiveness. Do they try to move forward after resolving an issue, or do they carry hatred, resentment and grudges everywhere they go?

And please, don't just observe how someone treats you when everything is going well. Observe how they behave when they're angry, disappointed, challenged or told 'no'. That's when a lot about a person's character becomes visible.

Marriage isn't just about finding someone who makes your heart race. It's about finding someone whose character makes you feel safe, whose kindness brings comfort, whose honesty allows you to trust them, and whose presence brings peace into your life.

No one is perfect, and we all have our shortcomings. What matters is whether a person is willing to acknowledge them, grow, communicate and make things right.

Choose someone who adds value to your life, not someone who constantly takes away your peace. Someone who knows how to love you while still respecting others, who chooses understanding over ego, and who fears ALLAH enough to be mindful of how they treat the people around them.

Because at the end of the day, looks may change, wealth may come and go, and circumstances may test your marriage. But good character, sincerity, compassion and a willingness to grow together are qualities that can carry you through so much.
