I thought I could accept a man who is struggling and support him because I believe in a person's potential. But if he's constantly bringing family drama and anxiety into my life, I may not suffer financially, but I'll probably end up carrying his burdens too. I think I need to protect myself and choose a man whose life isn't filled with so much drama. I don't want it to affect my mental well being or my work.

He actually thinks women care about that size? How ridiculous... How foolish you are ask something dirty like that!

Character is not revealed while someone is trying to win you; it is revealed once they believe you will stay.

Whatever you choose always choose the things that make you happy, Choose to stay with the people who make you laugh. Choose to do things that make you smile even if it’s weird things.
Choose to make crazy memories with friends, Choose the love that make your heart at peace, Don’t care about people’s opinions, Don’t care about who is saying “don’t do this”.
If something makes you happy, go for it.. Life is short. Choose whatever makes your soul happy.✨

Good morning ! 😀
Meet Ayah.
She posts videos online, that's not the point.
The point is the reactions...
Every day, women are scrutinised, criticised, victimised, sexualised, and expected to fit standards they never accepted or created.
Patriarchy isn't just upheld by men, it often survives through religion, culture, tradition, communities, families, social media, and even by the silence of those affected by it.
So here's the question...
If you know the rules were written before you had a voice, why keep playing by them ?
As a woman, how would you rewrite the narrative ?
What approach would you adopt ?
What beliefs, expectations, or double standards would you challenge first ?
This is a grown up conversation to find some possible projected future light at the end of the tunnel
There's no right or wrong answers, just searching and honest ones, please feel free to contribure by also maintaining respect to the tone towards all parties involved.

Does anyone else feel like they absorb every single emotion they read here? 🥺🥹
To be honest, as someone who carries a lot of empathy, scrolling through these posts on Jamaa can take a real toll on my mental energy.
It hits differently when I read about situations where I was once in their shoes, it’s like my heart instantly relives those moments all over again.
There are posts that I will literally ponder on for days.
That’s the thing about having high empathy, right? We instinctively absorb the experiences and emotions of others.
It’s a beautiful blessing, but a heavy curse at the same time.
I’m sure others who feel deeply can relate to this, how do you guys manage your energy? 🌿🍃
@Elefzed
Responsibility to yourself means refusing to let others do your thinking, talking, and naming for you; it means learning to respect and use your own brains and instincts; hence, grappling with hard work.
