Don’t rush nikah because you’re lonely. Prepare for it because you’re ready — spiritually, emotionally, and financially. There’s a big difference.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗛 𝗔𝗟-𝗛𝗨𝗝𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗧 (𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟰𝟵) – 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦, 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 & 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗥

Assalāmu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi wa Barakātuh, beloved brothers and sisters.

Surah Al-Hujurāt is one of the most beautiful chapters of the Qur'an because it teaches us how to live as true believers. It refines our hearts, purifies our speech, strengthens our relationships, and reminds us that true honour comes only through taqwā (consciousness of Allah).

Lessons from Surah Al-Hujurāt

  1. Put Allah and His Messenger ﷺ First
"O you who have believed, do not put yourselves before Allah and His Messenger..." (Qur'an 49:1)
Always submit to the commands of Allah and follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ above our own opinions and desires.
  2. Verify Information Before Spreading It
"If a sinful person comes to you with news, verify it..." (Qur'an 49:6)
Islam teaches us to check facts before believing or forwarding information. Rumours and false accusations can destroy lives.
  3. Make Peace Between Believers
Allah commands us to reconcile those who are in conflict and to establish justice. A Muslim should be a source of peace, not division.
  4. Never Mock or Insult Others
"Let not one people ridicule another..." (Qur'an 49:11)
No one has the right to look down on another person. Allah alone knows who is truly honoured.
  5. Avoid Hurtful Nicknames
Our words should bring comfort, not pain. Respect and kindness are signs of true faith.
  6. Stay Away from Suspicion, Spying and Backbiting
"Do not spy or backbite one another..." (Qur'an 49:12)
Backbiting is compared to eating the flesh of one's dead brother—a powerful reminder of how hateful this sin is in the sight of Allah.
  7. The Best Among Us Is the Most God-Conscious
"Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you." (Qur'an 49:13)
Race, tribe, nationality and wealth do not determine our worth. Our honour is measured by our taqwā.
  8. True Faith Is More Than Words
Real īmān is shown through sincerity, obedience to Allah, patience, good character and righteous actions.

Reflection
Surah Al-Hujurāt reminds us that Islam is not only about worship, but also about excellent manners, respect, honesty, humility and unity. If every Muslim lived by this Surah, our homes, communities and the Ummah would be filled with mercy, love and peace.

May Allah ﷻ beautify our character with the guidance of Surah Al-Hujurāt, protect our tongues and hearts, unite the Ummah upon truth, and make us among those who hear His words and follow the best of them. Āmīn. 🤲🏽

6ft tall = top priority 💯
No hard feelings, but if you’re not 6ft, I’m not interested 🙅🏻‍♀️

A lot of Muslim women don’t know this, A woman may request in her nikah contract that her husband not marry another wife.
Did you know this? Would you include this condition?
