For my Muslim sisters here, as a younger brother to an older sister whom I was too young to save from an abusive marriage for sake of community and preserving Desi culture. As an adult watching her suffer the misery and be gaslit so much by her abusive family that she has started to display the same qualities, what does one do in this scenario?
I keep up best I can but over time it seems to me her in laws and potentially her may ruin my future marriage. Should I stay in the family or move away and start fresh and not make the mistake of brining my partner into the hell that has been created by a misstep by my father many years ago.
Help me my fellow Muslims.
