What are ya'll's thoughts on Mut'ah marriage?
I'm curious to hear different perspectives. Do you view it as something religiously valid, culturally misunderstood, outdated, or situationally acceptable?
I’m at that age where every family function feels like a marriage interview 😵💫
I’m Shia and I was praying amongst Sunnis and behind a Sunni imam. Not an issue.
However the dude next to me saw my turbah and asked what it was, to which I politely and respectfully began to explain its purpose. He then proceeded to ask me if I was Shia?? Again, politely responded yes.
We then stood up for Jamaat and he swapped places with the guy next to him?? Lmao. I’m not even finished..
At the end everyone stood up and began to socialise and I stood to pray my Asr, bear in mind there was still a gap between us yet my man decided to go all the way to the left??
P.S. I couldn’t care less about another man not wanting to be next to me cos that’s uno. However, the Shia phobia is deeply saddening.
