Random thought… Would you rather stay single and enjoy your freedom, or spend the rest of your life with one person? 😂 Just got me thinking about the wisdom behind why Islam permits up to four wives

Salaam - I’m after a brothers perspective

Im divorced no kids and spoke to a brother for a few months who I really connected with, there was some family misunderstandings that caused distance and his family weren’t willing to address it, yet he promised me he would sort it. Fast forward a year and after a few failed attempts he wanted to part ways because his family wouldn’t accept me.

From a man’s perspective what would you have done in this scenario. ?

I know the situation is over but it’s been bothering me for weeks now because he came back after ending things due to family the first time and then 2nd time came back wanting to make it work but didn’t fix the issue first ( which was his families acceptance). I don’t understand why he would let go again and whether there was more to the story that I cannot understand

Assalamu Alaikum,

I’m 35 years old, divorced, and a father to two beautiful children, Alhamdulillah. My son is 8 and my daughter is 4, and they currently live with their mother. They are a huge part of my life and always will be.

The only reason I’m posting this on the social side is because a few people told me there may be a better chance here than on the marriage side, so I thought I’d give it a try.

I’m based in the UK and I’m only looking within the UK. I’m serious about marriage and not here for anything casual, time-wasting, or anything outside of halal. I’m looking for a practicing Muslimah who fears Allah, values marriage, and wants to build something genuine, peaceful, and long-term.

What I’m looking for is someone who wears hijab, dresses modestly, and is serious about her deen and serious about marriage. Someone kind, loyal, patient, understanding, emotionally mature, and family-oriented. I want someone who values honesty, communication, respect, and knows marriage takes effort, mercy, and commitment from both sides.

I’m looking for a wife who wants a simple halal marriage and a peaceful home built on Qur’an and Sunnah. Someone who wants to grow together in deen, support one another through life, and build a relationship based on trust, care, and sincerity. Someone who loves children, has a soft heart, and understands that family matters to me.

About me, I’d say I’m loyal, caring, protective, family-oriented, and serious when it comes to marriage. I value deen, good character, honesty, and keeping things halal. I’m not looking for perfection, just someone genuine who is ready for marriage and wants to build something real for the sake of Allah.

If you’re in the UK, serious about marriage, and feel we may be compatible, feel free to message appropriately.
