No matter how far you’ve drifted or how many mistakes you’ve made, all it takes is tawbah to get back on track.

“Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.” (2:222)

The problem with many of us today is not that we don’t know what is right.

We know.

We just keep negotiating with our nafs.

The Salaf heard Allah’s command and said:
“We hear and we obey.”

We hear the same command and ask:
“Is it really haram?”
“How far can I go?”
“What’s the least I can do?”
“Which opinion is easier?”

They searched for every opportunity to earn Allah’s pleasure.

We search for every excuse to satisfy ourselves without feeling too guilty.

Perhaps that is the difference.

They feared displeasing Allah.

We fear inconveniencing ourselves.

Islam was never meant to be a game of finding the lightest sin. It was meant to be a journey of seeking the greatest pleasure of Allah.

As Muslims, it is our moral and religious duty to help out those in need, and if any of our brothers and sisters are going hungry and we are aware of it, we shall be questioned in the hereafter. Feeding the poor in Islam is not a recommendation, but a necessity.

I been wearing the hijab publicly for a while and the hijab pushes me to be even more compassionate and mindful of my behavior as I am a representative of Islam! 🤍🕊️🤲🏻🧕🏼📿

‘Do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.’ (Quran 17:36)
The ‘hearing’…
The ‘sight’ …
…In the days of conformation bias everywhere, Muslims as a whole need to be careful how much we speak and what we speak of & the sources we use.
I see these ‘new Muslim reverts’ everywhere, talking about Islam and what they’ve found to be true.
ALHAMDULILLAH
Muslims who have walked a longer path with Allah & who are insightful with the Quran-please instruct new Muslims gently, kindly and with intelligence, incase you become the reason they abandon their new found faith or spread criticism.
BE VERY CAREFUL
Yes some will drift away, many will distort Islam to bend to the Dunya & its compromises.
How will we respond?
Myself? I intend to live quietly, with Sabr (Allah help me!) And to be slow to respond to conflict, to keep away from arguments between Muslims.
Now are the days to question our intentions; sharpen our Hikmah, strengthen our Adab and Akhlaq.
‘Well done, good & faithful servant’ is what we should set our hearts too, with total honestly before Allah.
May Allah have mercy on us in these turbulent times & guide us in truth.

"And declare, 'The truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is bound to vanish”
Surah Al-Isra, Verse 81
