I did not earn this by my strength or goodness alone. It is a pure gift from Ar-Raheem — The Most Compassionate, The One Who gives endlessly, Who nurtures the soul, Who keeps His promises. It was given to me only when I was ready — when I had been refined by loneliness, purified by waiting, when I had learned to trust His timing completely. I am nothing without His mercy; this love is proof of His kindness, not my worth.

I share it with quiet pride:
Not pride in myself, but pride in HIS design. Because this love is the ultimate proof:

Salam people☺️ I didn’t really know whether I should post this because it’s kinda private and that’s why I post it anonymously. I reverted to Islam a couple of months ago and Im really struggling to live halal. Wallah I push myself every day but somehow I keep drinking alcohol and doing other haram things that hurt me and my connection with Allah. I’m also struggling to be consistent with praying. Any tips? Is there any kind of therapist or iman that help new Muslims to struggle less with these things? Partially, I struggle to leave my old self behind, and especially I care too much about other (non-Muslim) ppl around me since everyone has become so islamophobic in Spain 😭

You can skip a meal and survive.

Titles on the Path of Haq✨

Today, if you sincerely try to follow and convey the Quran and Sunnah, the harshest labels often come not from non Muslims but from our own beloved Muslims.

1. The “Extremist” & “Radical” ⚠️

If you speak about halal and haram, you are labelled extreme, harsh or backward. Many misuse phrases like “Islam is moderation” and “The deen is easy” to justify changing Islam according to desires and modern lifestyles.

“And do not say falsely: ‘This is lawful and this is unlawful.’” (Qur’an 16:116).

“The halal is clear and the haram is clear.” (Sahih al Bukhari 52).

2. The “Backward” & “Primitive” 🔙

If you advise against free mixing, tabarruj and immodesty, you are called backward or strict while shamelessness and the haram become normalised.

“There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not seen… women who are clothed yet naked, inclined and making others incline…” (Sahih Muslim 2128).

3. The “Poor Minded” & “Financial Failure” 🏠

If you avoid interest based mortgages and loans, people mock you as unrealistic, even though Allah declared war against riba. A house built upon riba may look like a dream home in this dunya, but it is stripped of barakah and mercy from Allah.

“If you do not give up riba, then be informed of war from Allah and His Messenger.” (Qur’an 2:279).

4. The “Antisocial” & “Joyless” 🎭

If you warn against music, celebrity culture and shameless entertainment, you are labelled extreme or accused of hating enjoyment.

“And among the people are those who purchase idle talk to mislead others from the path of Allah.” (Qur’an 31:6)

5. The “Outdated”💍

Simple halal marriages are mocked while extravagant weddings and high dowries are normalised, making nikah difficult and haram relationships easy.

"The most blessed nikah is the one with the least expense." (Musnad Ahmad 24595).

"The best mahr is the one that is easiest." (Sunan Abi Dawud 2117).

6. The “Enforcement officer”🗣️

If you remind people about prayer, hijab, modesty and avoiding haram, you are accused of enforcing religion.

“You enjoin good and forbid evil.” (Qur’an 3:110).

“None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” (Sahih al Bukhari 13, Sahih Muslim 45).

The Root Cause: Dunya Over Akhirah 🌍⏳. Many people today want an Islam that fits desires and society rather than complete submission to Allah.

“Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion…” (Qur’an 57:20).

Al’hamdu’lillah I have been called many of these names so far: radical, extremist, backward, narrow minded, judgmental, strict, antisocial etc.

Hadith we should never forget during these times of fitnah:

“Islam began as something strange and it will return to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.” (Sahih Muslim 145).

“There will come a time when holding onto religion will be like holding burning coal.” (Jami at Tirmidhi 2260).

Always remember: our beloved Nabi (SAW), despite having billions of followers today, was mocked, slandered and opposed by the zalimun. So who are we to become shaken by criticism for trying to follow the truth?

And no, I am not claiming perfection. I make many mistakes, but Al’hamdu’lillah, I do not reject the rulings of the deen to satisfy desires.

I remind myself and my fellow Muslims 🤝 as we navigate the distractions of this temporary dunya, to return together towards eternal success through the Kitaab and the Sunnah 📚 In’sha’Allah.

“Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us.” (Qur’an 3:8). Ameen
