Does anyone else hate when one of the first questions a man asks while getting to know you is, “Can you cook?”

I’m not offended by the question itself it’s the timing. We’re strangers, and out of everything you could ask to understand who I am, that’s what you lead with?

I’d rather be asked about my character, ambitions, interests, beliefs, or what I’m looking for. There are so many more meaningful ways to get to know someone.

Am I overthinking this, or do other people feel the same?
