Need some advice from some sensible people, please.
I keep getting named as Executor of people's Wills by family, friends and acquaintances. Another family relative contacted me today to ask if she could name me as the Executor of her Will.
I accepted her request of course, but feel under pressure.
Most of the Wills that I've been named as the Executor of, include clauses that state "...at the discretion of the Executor". I've asked (in writing) and clarified what the wishes of the Testators are for each of the wills, but some of them are saying they will leave it with me to decide (e.g. which charity to donate a named % to). I've set up a separate folder in my laptop and a USB key as a backup and saved everything. Feel nervous though.
Executing the Will of my friend who passed away was challenging, due to her family pressuring me. I made sure my friend's wishes were respected despite her husband's and in-laws' pressure. But, it was challenging.
I am quite decisive, and will never give into pressure. But I am worried about this discretionary element.
My fear is, what if I exercised my discretion in a way that the deceased might not agree with. Obviously, I can't confirm with them after they are dead. I can never be 100% sure. From an Islamic point of view, what's the consequence if I get it wrong despite my best efforts?

That professor actually scolded me outside uni yesterday for not wearing a helmet. 🙄😤 I was this close to saying, 'I love how you don't let your height get in the way of your confidence,' and you know what? My mind kept screaming, 'JUST SMACK HIS BALD HEAD, HE'S YOUR HEIGHT AFTER ALL HE'S A TOTAL SHORTIE TOO!!' 😭😭💀💀
