All this skincare only to die one day and turn into bones.

4 am. I was slowly climbing the stairs, my footsteps echoing in the empty stairwell. My mind suddenly turned to those of my cousins and close family friends who had been married for a couple years now and had recently become new parents. They were doing it, life-ing, wifing, husbanding, and now parenting - generally winning, as they should, Allaahommabaarik.

And it made me wonder, what am I doing with my life? Am I even serious about marriage? I thought I was. I have my act together, personal, professional, financial preparedness in place. I'm on a few of these mozlamic apps. I give due consideration, speak to and even meet with potentials my parents suggest. But perhaps I'm not doing enough. And if that be the case, may Allaah forgive me, and grant me the good guidnace to really lock-in on the task at hand.
