Interesting how converts who most likely didn’t even follow their own initial religion about remaining chaste before marriage as every religion dictates are so judgmental about born Muslim and the level of which they practice. Particularly attack women for not wearing hijab, not dressing modest, and not accepting polygamy. Like conversion to Islam somehow made the fact that you was run thru pre conversion dissapear 🙄
Is anyone familiar with the Tablighi Jamaat?
You may have seen them around. Usually desi, always in shalwar kameez. Like a stereotypical Muslim uncle. They go around giving dawah to other Muslims, sometimes in other parts of the world.
While they do some good, they do not have the right aqeedah and they partake in a lot of bidah.
Unfortunately I know one too many horror stories coming from this group.
My Aunt(mom's cousin) married a man, who eventually joined the jamaat. Her life has been hell for almost 20 years. This guy travels for months on end with his group, leaving her locked in a basement.
Even though the basement they stay in is 50 metres from a masjid, she is not allowed to go herself. Since he travels, he takes off from his part time job and isn't able to provide enough to have a comfortable life. He threatens to cut off even the little support he provides now.
Her 2 adult sons are in different cities, they are sympathetic and try to help out, sometimes coming back to take their mom out, or speaking to the father. There's only so much they can do. It's just a sad situation, caused by a man who supposedly cares so much about deen.
I don't like generalizing but I urge sisters to be wary of anyone part of this group. Obviously they're not all bad.
And yet somewhere in that mix where you treat every girl like the last you will lose your wife, but good luck though. Because you cracked the code like Noman said. Remember you attract what you are 🫡
