Empire State Building after the proposal: am I a building or an event planner?🙄
Someone else’s judgment of you is only their perception…. don’t let it change who you are.
Question for the women. I matched thru family with this girl. But she seems very shy. Like one word answers and just a bit quiet and its hard to find topics to talk about because the conversation is so one sided. She agreed to get to know me so im sure she isnt feeling forced to talk to me. How do I make her feel more comfortable so we can get to know each other? What should I do? Please help.
Just went to my nieces and nephews summer fair. Its so funny seeing the teachers there recognising me, seeing I work with kids myself and understand the struggle. They are really the best when they remember small things we used to do and the fact they love the kids before they knew who we were.
My sister worked in the school and left a good reputation. So now for them to hear shes a headteacher is so rewarding. Knowing how much she struggled.
But it was a fun day. Fun performances. Good food. The lot. Now i need a nap from the sun
The Illusion of Time
When we are young, time feels endless.
We speak of next year as though it is already ours.
We postpone apologies.
We delay repentance.
We save kindness for another day.
We tell ourselves, "There is still plenty of time."
Perhaps that is life's greatest illusion.
Time does not announce its departure.
It slips away quietly.
One ordinary morning becomes a memory.
One familiar face becomes a photograph.
One conversation becomes the last, though we never knew it at the time.
We often imagine that life is measured by the number of years we have lived.
But Allah measures something greater.
What did we do with the hours He entrusted to us?
How many prayers were offered with a present heart?
How many tears were shed in sincere repentance?
How many burdens did we lighten for someone else?
How many people felt the mercy of Allah through our words and actions?
The world teaches us to spend time.
Islam teaches us to value it.
Every sunrise is not merely the beginning of another day.
It is another opportunity to seek forgiveness before the doors close.
Another chance to mend a broken relationship.
Another chance to remember God before our hearts become distracted once again.
Yet we continue to live as though tomorrow has signed a contract with us.
We plan vacations years ahead.
We prepare for retirement.
We build careers and businesses.
These are not wrong.
But while planning for a future we hope to reach, are we preparing for the meeting we are certain to have?
Death has never asked permission from age.
It visits the old whose hair has turned white.
It visits the young whose dreams have only just begun.
It reminds us that life was never promised in decades, but only in moments.
Perhaps that is why the Qur'an repeatedly calls us to reflect.
Not because Allah needs our remembrance, but because our hearts need His guidance.
The greatest tragedy is not that life is short.
It is spending a lifetime chasing what cannot accompany us into the grave while neglecting the deeds that will.
Money will remain.
Titles will be forgotten.
Followers will move on.
Even our names will eventually fade from people's conversations.
But every sincere prayer...
Every hidden charity...
Every act of forgiveness...
Every moment of patience...
Every word spoken for the sake of Allah...
None of it is lost.
The illusion of time is believing that we can always begin tomorrow.
The truth is that our only certainty is this moment.
So if your heart has been distant, return today.
If someone deserves your apology, give it today.
If you have postponed your salah, pray today.
If you have intended to change, begin today.
For the most valuable time in our lives is not yesterday, which has already gone, nor tomorrow, which may never come.
It is the moment Allah has placed in our hands right now.
And perhaps the greatest success is not living a long life.
It is meeting Allah with a heart that learned to value every moment He entrusted to it.
Allahuakbar.....
Insyaallah...I have data. and Muzz also has data.
