Have you ever felt like you have exceptional social energy one week, followed by a week or more of complete 'shutdown'? I’m not talking about mere shyness; I mean that strange feeling where notifications become a burden, and even the simplest conversation feels like a heavy task that requires effort beyond your capacity.
Many of us live according to 'bursts of energy.' We are present, fun, and fully engaged in direct, face-to-face moments, and then suddenly... we withdraw. We see the messages and don't reply, we see the calls and wish the line would just cut off, and we sink into a silence that doesn't mean ignoring others as much as it means a desperate need to regain our balance.
We don't abandon people, nor do we hate communication; we simply possess an 'selective' nature that doesn't thrive on social routines. We are creatures that only bloom in 'direct reality.' As for the virtual world, we often see it as noise that invades our personal space.
If you are one of those whom others accuse of being strange or cold because you don't master the 'game of constant communication,' always remember: You are not broken; you are just running on a different operating system that can only be understood by those who value depth over small talk.
Don't apologize for being who you are; your periods of silence are what fuel the brilliance of your presence
