Started talking to this guy on Muzz because he genuinely seemed religious. His bio talked about wanting to marry someone who’s on the deen, or at least striving to become better in their religion. From the very beginning, he was talking about Islam, how men should lead with patience, good character, and all the things you’d hope to hear.

I honestly thought, “Wow, this is exactly what I’m looking for.”

Then the conversation completely flipped, and he started getting really inappropriate with me.

Can someone please explain why this happens so often? Why present yourself one way and then switch up the moment you start talking? It’s honestly so frustrating. Experiences like this just make me question whether it’s even worth being on these apps anymore.

Just sharing my experience and genuinely curious about everyone's opinion.
I'm currently pursuing my PhD abroad and recently came to Pakistan for my vacation. Since my family wants me to get married, one of my friends suggested that I try the Muzz app. After creating my profile, I noticed something weird. I'm basically from Gujranwala, while my brother lives in Lahore because of his job. I went to Lahore just to visit him for a few days, and during that time I noticed I started receiving significantly more matches. However, once some of the girls found out that I'm actually from Gujranwala and not Lahore, they unmatched or lost interest..
This made me wonder: Is location/city really such an important factor when choosing a life partner for girls?
