Ladies and Gentlemen

I need honest opinions.

I was in a relationship for almost 4 years that turned now into more of a situationship

He asked for marriage at very early stage but then due to some reasons from his side he back off

I told him we should not keep seeing each other anymore because our paths are not aligned. He didnt agree , therefore I had to I block him almost everywhere and I informed him before that (this is because he was keep contacting me)

The main issue is that I am looking for something serious that leads to marriage, while he doesn’t want to , but still he wants us to see each other. From my perspective, continuing to meet would just be a waste of time and emotional energy.

His perspective is different. He says since we are both single and enjoy each other’s company, there is no harm in staying in touch and continuing to see each other. He also says he likes me, feels understood by me, and maybe just didn’t give me everything I needed before.

He thinks I’m being too harsh or “stone-hearted” for cutting things off, while I believe I’m just being realistic.

So my question is:

Do you think it makes sense to continue seeing someone when you both want different things long-term, just because you enjoy each other’s company? Or is it better to walk away?

Would really appreciate honest perspectives
