All things marriage

In less than two weeks, there will be a big jump in the degree of responsibility at my work. I'll be going from being a member of the team to a team leader. My tiny shoulder will hold the big responsibility of making call in between other peoples' life and death. Internally I'm terrified with the thought of this. May Allah help me in the journey. What’s the point of marriage? My family wants me to get married and i started wanting to get married but sometimes all i see is failed marriages and selfish people who doesn’t genuinely care about others. Men who mostly came to see me always looking for a working woman to provide with them. And I’m losing interest in marriage as i reached 30 years 2 months ago. I’m starting to think to give up on marriage and find a job instead.
