Please dont ask the girl you intend on marrying “what do you do for living?” Atleats not in the first conversation. And here’s why
1- Since youre supposed to be the provider, it shouldn’t interest you what she does for a living. Ask about her interests instead.
2- It just sounds bad as if she is supposed to be doing something and if she isnt, its a disappointment.
3- It makes her feel like you expect her to be doing something because you cant provide comfortable life for you both.

Now dont start attacking and build defense. This is not an attack on men so stay calm.
