Tonight’s Du’a
Ya’ Allah,
As this night comes to an end, fix what I cannot fix, heal what I cannot heal, and protect me from every harm
I cannot see.
Grant my heart peace, my soul tranquility,
and my home Your mercy.
Watch over me and my loved ones through the night, forgive our sins, and let us wake up to a new day filled with Your blessings and guidance.
Ameen Ya’Rabil’Alameen

My plan last week when talking to a stranger :
"You want to marry me or not? Be clear. I'm busy"

One week later met a stranger :
"What do you want?"
"A marriage with you. As a second wife"
"Whaaaaa?"

Dear God, this is not what I meant 😭

MINDSET I GRIND l VISION on Instagram: "This message speaks about how emotional dynamics in relationships are often simplified into one person being responsible for the entire atmosphere, when in reality connection is shaped by the ongoing interaction between both people. It reflects an important truth though, that the emotional environment inside a relationship does influence how each person responds over time. Many people do become more open, affectionate, and emotionally available when they consistently feel safe, appreciated, and respected. Attention and reassurance can strengthen closeness because they communicate care in a way that words alone cannot. At the same time, repeated criticism, neglect, or emotional distance can slowly change how someone shows up in the relationship. But relationships are rarely as one-directional as they are sometimes described. A woman is not simply a mirror of a man’s behavior, just as a man is not only a product of his partner’s actions. Both people bring their own communication patterns, emotional histories, expectations, and responsibilities into the dynamic. What one person gives absolutely matters, but so does how the other responds, communicates, and participates in repairing tension. What makes long-term relationships work is not perfection from one side, but mutual awareness. The ability to notice when connection is weakening, to address issues before resentment builds, and to understand that emotional safety is something both people help create together. Clarity begins when both people stop asking only what they are receiving and start paying attention to what they are consistently contributing to the emotional tone of the relationship. Because intimacy is not maintained by expectation alone, but by repeated acts of care, respect, and emotional presence from both sides. In the end, the relationship people experience is often shaped less by what they say they want and more by the emotional environment they continuously help create. Most people know the Islamic duties of a husband. Provider. It's known among Muslims and non-Muslims. Even in break bad, Gus Fring says "a man provides". In all cultures Muslim, Christian, atheists a man must provide.

But I'm curious to know if wives also know their Islamic duties? Do Muslim men actually know what's the duty of a wife is?

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

I have a sincere question.

Why do people place so many expectations on a son whose father has passed away—someone who is already struggling to support his family, improve his financial situation, and establish himself before seeking the hand of someone's daughter in marriage?

Our Deen teaches us that the best Nikah is the one that is simple and places the least burden on both families. Unfortunately, in many cases, the opposite happens. The groom's side is often expected to fulfill numerous financial demands before the marriage can even take place.

If we truly want to encourage Halal marriages and protect our youth from unnecessary hardships, shouldn't we make Nikah easier instead of more difficult?

May Allah guide us to follow the beautiful teachings of Islam and make Nikah easy for everyone. Ameen.
