I genuinely feel sorry for women who think all men are impressed by heavy makeup.

Some men are, and that's perfectly fine. But many of us aren't. I'm one of them.

We're on an Islamic marriage app, where the goal is to find a sincere, compatible spouse. If you're serious about marriage, I'd much rather see your natural face than one hidden behind layers of makeup.

It honestly feels almost impossible to find profiles with natural, makeup-free photos.

Just sharing a personal preference

Thank you.

Islamic dating apps are a petri-dish for narcissists. On one side you got male narcissists using the Islamic ‘male provider’ concept and turning it into a way to control and gain leverage over women.

On the other side, you got female narcissists who use the Islamic provider concept to guilt trip men into pouring their wealth into her, sometimes even before marriage, using him financially, then dumping him when she get all the gifts/favours she wanted. The #1 thing narcissists love more than anything is money and control.

If you want to see what the Islamic provider concept actually looks like, and see what a truely successful love-filled Islamic marriage looks like, then look at Prophet Mohammad ﷺ and businesswoman Khadija (RA). How they both outdid each other in effort, both worked hard, and both rose to the occasion to provide for each other and to help each other out, adapting to whatever situation they faced. In a marriage there is no more “I/me.” Only “we/us.”
