What a lot of women don’t realize is that men have a different set of priorities.
Feminism has told them that they”can have it all” a career , motherhood , marriage , so a lot of these women spend their twenties concentrating on their career and just having “fun” ; casual flings without any intention of a serious relationship, thinking that all that can wait until their thirties.
During this time they probably met many guys their own age who would have been interested in a serious relationship with them, but they weren’t interested.The guy didn't measure up for some reason or another, ( not enough resources, not handsome enough etc), and they didn’t want to sacrifice their independence for anyone but the best.
Now fast forward . The typical woman in her early to mid thirties has a university degree, a good job and is financially independent.She thinks that now would be a good time time to meet someone and have a serious relationship/ marriage/children. She thinks that because of what she has , her ideal partner should be a similar age, also with a university degree and be financially independent. A perfect match right?
But here is the kicker. Your average man in his early to mid thirties who also might have a university degree and be financially independent cares far less about resources than the woman does.
He is looking for someone who is nice looking , has a nice personality and has a minimum of baggage .
He regularly gets his coffee at the same place and that cute barista behind the counter in her mid twenties might be just who he’s looking for. She’s pretty and fun and seems to tick all the boxes about what he wants. OK she might only make $7.25 an hour , but that’s alright. Men don’t CARE about that as long as she meets his other criteria. So they date and have a fantastic time.
Meanwhile his colleague, the thirty plus woman, is fuming because she has been left on the shelf.
She thinks that she is a better match than the 25 year old barista. But NOT according to the man she isn’t.
