Why men are so easy to say
"I will marry you, let's get married, I'm your husband, and you're my wife from now on"
But then they get confused in the process.
Is that some kind of manipulation?
We spend months preparing for one day.
Then spend years living the ordinary ones.
Perhaps that's why the health of a marriage isn't measured by the beauty of its wedding, but by the quiet rhythm of its Tuesdays.
The conversations after work. The uncelebrated acts of kindness. The decision to remain gentle when no one is applauding.
A beautiful wedding is a memory.
