I’m willing to do any job, in shaa Allah, as long as it is halal.

Sometimes, seeing younger women who are highly educated, successful, and doing so well in life makes me feel a little discouraged. I wonder, how will I ever find the right man when there are so many incredible women out there?

But then I remind myself that my rizq, including my spouse, is in Allah’s hands.

So my only prayer is:
"O Allah, bring me the one You have destined for me. Let him see the goodness within me, and continue to make me a better person in every way, for Your sake and for the one You have chosen for me. Bless us with a marriage where we walk through this dunya together, helping one another in worship and drawing closer to You. Ameen."

In shaa Allah, what Allah has written for us will never miss us.

Location is really a barrier when it comes to relationship. Can you date someone very far from you?

Sisters, the whole “it’s not you, it’s me” or “I don’t have the emotional capacity for a partner right now” after a long build up of mutual emotions and feelings…how often are these situations real and how often are they not?

(Figured I’d give the tax of dealing with topics where women could be the issue so I’m no longer a “simp” 😂 but I am looking for real insight here.)

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:"There are three matters in which seriousness is serious and joking is serious: marriage, divorce, and taking back a wife (after a revocable divorce)."

The Breakdown of the RuleBecause these three contracts and actions are so profound, Islam does not accept "I was just kidding" as an excuse once the words are intentionally uttered.

Marriage (Nikah): If a man and woman intentionally agree to enter a marriage contract, it is legally and religiously binding, even if they claim they were just joking or playing around.

Divorce (Talaq): If a husband clearly pronounces divorce to his wife, it counts. He cannot later claim it was a joke to reverse it.

Taking a wife back
(Raj'ah): If a man takes his wife back during the waiting period after an initial or second divorce, it takes effect. He cannot take his word back later by saying it was a joke.
