Hi everyone I m living in Paris looking for my future husband.
It’s heartbreaking, honestly...
Have our options really become that limited? To the point where a man who only keeps up with his five daily prayers is now seen as ‘the standard’ for a potential imam.
But prayer isn’t something extra, it’s an obligation. The bare minimum for a Muslim.
It’s like praising a grown adult for eating. Of course you have to eat to live.
So we shouldn’t be making ‘at least he prays’ the main reason to choose someone.
But that’s the reality now, many of us have lowered our standards, not because we want to, but because we feel we have to.
Because finding a man who prays consistently is already rare.
Finding one who is honest, trustworthy, hardworking, and can lead...
It feels almost impossible.
So we settle.. we settle for ‘minimum faith’ and hope he will grow with us.
But marriage is not a project to fix.
Marriage is meant to be a place of peace.
May Allah protect our hearts, so we don’t become weary, and so we don’t choose wrongly just because we’re tired of waiting. I wish the best for you, Girls.. :)
