Hi pls I just experienced something on this app and would like to talk about it, the Hajia didn’t offend me but I think we should try and not give meaning to people response. I'm tired of searching but can't find it, is it better to be alone if I always meet the wrong people?

so something happened that’s been pissing me off and i’m not sure if im overreacting or it’s valid. basically someone i’ve been talking to (not explicit relationship) but ive been talking to in the manner of a relationship like the possibility of being together.
basically i graduated w my bachelors a week ago now and the day of my grad he didn’t text good morning anything about the gradation until much later in the day and he was spotty throughout the day. so i asked me straight up why he was lagging and he said he was with family and i immediately was like okay chill. anyways, that night we call and i asked him if he had bought me a grad gift (some people may not agree with that question but yeah) and he said yes i did. couple days later i asked him about it because nothing came and he said “it’s stuck in transit” then fast forward to yesterday night i asked him again about it and he said oh yeah there is no gift i didn’t get anything. obviously i was just straight up annoyed and honestly embarrassed that he had lied to me and i was genuinely looking forward to what he had gotten me. i told him that it wasn’t cool and i didn’t understand why he straight up just lied…. he said it was because i asked him late at night and he wanted to sleep without arguing. but i told him you literally lied 2x so yeah im pissed. he ended up saying okay find and ordering something off amazon to which i said leik no it’s chill because it’s not even meaningful and you bought something in less than 5 minutes so he was like okay and canceled the order lol. i don’t know how to feel but yeah im annoyed
